A Lеon De Smet (Belgian, 1881-1966) oil painting on canvas, signed lower left and dated "Leon De Smet 1941," with expo labels on the back, signed "Claire with a hat."

The inscription on the frame in Dutch states that this is the wife of the artist. Claire was the second wife of the artist who died in 1953 of breast cancer. They married in 1941.
