An unusual Italian shortsword of a herald of Joachim Murat with a gilt-bronze-cast pommel as Moorish-style head blowing a horn. The hilt is cast of gilt-bronze with the owner’s initials "NS" and Murat’s monogram "JN" (GIOACCHINO NAPOLEONE) on the clamshell guard. The blade is of a flatten-diamond shape with a single groove in the middle.
Dimensions: 38 9/16 in., (98 cm.)
Condition: Good, scabbard is missing.
