Sudanese sword with leather-decorated hilt and steel cross guard, broad double-edged blade with narrow fullers on either side and struck with symbols imitating the early Germanic markings found on some early broad sword blades often used by Sudanese sword makers. Patina and some pitting to the steel. No scabbard. Mid to late 19th century.
Dimensions: L: 38 3/16 in., (97 cm.)
Condition: Very good.
