This is a fine French hand-knotted wool pictorial tapestry, with a multicolor pictorial scene, depicting a noble horseman, his squire, and a noble lady extending her hand in a gesture of blessing. Around the characters is a picturesque forest with various animals: deer, lions, wild boars. The border of the tapestry is decorated with images of royal lilies.
Dimensions: 67 x 67 in., (170 x 170 cm.)
Condition: Good overall with some damage at edges, please refer to images provided
