An American, ca. 1820 bird-head pommel officer’s saber. With a slightly curved blade with one wide fuller on each side decorated with bluing and gilding. The scabbard is of gilt-bronze with etched decorations, equipped with two loose suspension rings. The hilt is of gilt-bronze with carved grip scales.
Dimensions: L:36 1/4 in., (92 cm.)
Condition: Good overall, a small crack on the handle, the scabbard is slightly scratched.
