Alexander Pavlovich Brullov (1798 – 1877), beautiful watercolor on paper portrait of a young lady in a blue dress. Signed at the lower right: A. Brullov (Cyrillic). Alexander Pavlovich Bryullov is a Russian architect, draftsman and watercolor painter, academician, Honored Professor of the 1st degree in the architecture of the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg. One of the founders of the "Pompeian style" in Russian architecture of the period of historicism. The elder brother of the painter Karl Pavlovich Bryullov.
