Stunning 19th-century French Sevres style soft-paste porcelain and ormolu twin-handle table or mantle urn vase of traditional form raised on a square stepped base with canted corners. The twin handles finish with exquisitely modeled female masks. The central front medallion depicts a Courting Couple in 18th-century dress, the back view painted with a French farmhouse beside a lake on a rich cobalt blue ground. The cover is decorated with a bronze finial and similar hand-paintings. Marked underneath the lid by the manufacturer.
