Saint Petersburg Imperial Academy of Science & Fine Arts, 1753. Burning on a strong paper. Russian text to the left, in French right. Leaf from the album titled in Russian ( "The plan of the city of Saint Petersburg with the representation of his best outlook published by the Imperial Academy of Sciences and Fine Arts of St. Petersburg in 1753"). The album was released on the 50th anniversary of St. Petersburg. It included the city plan and twelve views Capital executed from designs by Mikhail Ivanovich Makhaev (1716- 1770) under the supervision of J. Valeriani (1690-1761). Artists from this album were honored by Empress Elizabeth (ukase Special July 14, 1753).

Condition: Light central fold; a side fold; pinholes at the corners; a few very rare spots.
