An exquisite hand-carved ivory crucifix figure of Jesus in a crown of thorns. The figure shows traces of blood flowing from under the thorns. The face of Christ is made very expressively, the eyes are ajar and lookup. Hands and feet are missing. Probably Goa, 17th century.
Dimensions: L: 10 1/2 in., (26.67 cm.), excluding the stand
