Felt patch with embroidered eagle and designation "E.K. z.b.V. -OST" (Einsatzkommando Zur Besonderen Verwendung – OST) – Special Use Forces – East. During World War II, the Nazi German Einsatzkommandos were a sub-group of the Einsatzgruppen (mobile killing squads) composed of of the SS and Gestapo, whose mission was to exterminate certain groups of civilian populations in the captured territories.
