A poster "This is Nazi Brutality" designed by Ben Shahn (1898-1969). Color offset lithograph issued by the United States Office of War Information. The artist created a very expressive and disturbing image. In the center is a chained man with a bag on his head. Brick walls surround him, creating a sense of hopelessness and a visualization of prisoners being shot against a wall. On the poster there is an inscription with an "official notice" of the destruction of the Czechoslovak village of Lidice by the Nazis.
