A superb Russian silver and niello cigar box featuring a gilt interior, an engraved image of Peter the Great on one side and Minin and Pozharsky on the other. On the top and bottom, there is an engraved image depicting the Cabin of Peter the Great in St. Petersburg. Hallmarks: 84 silver standard, St. George (Moscow), two Cyrillic letters "VE." Weight: 6.2 oz., 174 g.
Dimensions: 5 1/2 x 3 in. (14 x 7.6 cm.)
Condition: Very good overall with a few minor dents on the nielloed side of the case and very small niello loss on the checkered sides of the case
