An Ottoman yatagan with riveted handle, re-curved blade with round spine, with blade decorated with silver inlay of Arabic inscription in a cartouche, wooden scabbard covered with metal-stitched sheepskin with two large silver fittings decorated with foliage and geometric motifs. Origin: the Balkans Ca. late eighteenth early nineteenth time.
Dimensions: L: 29 9/64 in., (74 cm.)
Condition: Very good with original scabbard leather well preserved
