Ernst Neizvestny is known for public monument sculpture-abstract figure, modernism. Ernst Neizvestny, a sculptor whose ventures into modernism put him at odds with the Soviet cultural authorities and led to a memorable confrontation with Nikita S. Khrushchev in 1962.
