Femba also is known as the Yombe maternity figure refers to the sculptural objects that depict the figures of mother and child. Femba is an iconic work for Congo art. It signifies the importance of women in the Congo culture not only because of their ability to give birth and breed but also as visionaries and guardians of the spirit. Congo society traces its origin along the female line of ancestors.

Condition: Good, with slight scratches and signs of use
