Glazed ceramic beaker by Kuznetsov Manufactory commemorating the Coronation of Alexander III in 1883. Decorated with a heraldic symbol of Moscow beneath a crown and above the raised text in Russian in commemoration of the Holy Coronation. On the left is the cipher of Tsar Nicholas II and on the right the cipher of his wife Alexandra. Marked underside with Cyrillic impressed mark "M.S KUZNETSOV, " impressed date "1878" and the number "21." The original Sotheby’s New York auction label is attached to the base.
Dimensions: H: 4 3/4 in., (12 cm.)
Condition: Very good.
