A rare c.1765-1770 infantry grenadier briquet saber, model 1767, engraved "Manufature Royale d’Absore (Klingenthall)". On the blade is engraved "Grenadier" and the "GRENADE INFLAMIER", the double "L" crest of the King LXVI stamps. The specific stamps were used at the time of the American revolution. no scabbard.
