Lot was removed from auction
Slightly curved 23 1/4 inch blade marked on the spine "M-ture R-le D’Alsace" (manufacturer Regale d’Alsace), engraved with a flaming grenade on each side and "GRENADIER" on one side with double L for LOUIS XVI. D-shaped brass hilt stamped "B" on the knuckle bow and engraved "C 109" on the bottom of the cross-guard. Original stitched leather scabbard with brass fittings.
Dimensions: L: 29 in., (73.7 cm.)
Condition: Very good, the blade is slightly pitted, scabbard shows expected signs of wear.
