An Indian Zaghnal, 18th-19th cc. The head comprises a tapering double-edged blade of katar form cut with converging flutes to the point of reinforced section, the base pierced and chiseled as a pair of tigers and the Indian deity. Block-shaped socket carrying a peen formed like an elephant. The handle is made of wood and is connected to the top with a steel tube.
Dimensions: L: 22 7/16 in., (57 cm.)
Condition: Very good, very small dent in wooden handle
