An antique Indian iron hand forged battle axe, or a tabar, with a crescent-shaped blade, a faceted pint, and a ball terminal to a hilt. A square head is connected to the hilt by rivets and holds another pint to the back. The blade and the hilt feature fine engraved scrolling foliate decorations. Circa the 19th century.
Dimensions: L: 22 1/16 in., (56 cm.)
Condition: Very good.
