A rare ancient Byzantine Heraclius gold solidus coin minted in Jerusalem, 626 to 630 AD, portraying, on the obverse, the Byzantine emperor Heraclius, on left, of broad appearance, and with a very short beard, and his son Heraclius Constantine, both crowned and wearing chlamys; cross between heads. On the reverse, there is a Greek cross potent on three steps with a mintmark below. Weight: 4.53 gr., 0.16 oz.
