ANTIQUE ARMS, ARMOR AND MILITARY DECORATIONS

A Naval dagger (trench art) with a hand-forged pointy blade attached to a hilt made from a piece of a bombshell. The hilt is engraved: Bocche di Cattaro (Bay of Kotor), 19 Okt. 1914. Made by a sailor stationed at the Bay during WW1. It is quite possible the dagger belonged to a sailor involved in the Cattaro mutiny. A fine piece of military history from the Adriatic Sea.
