Edo period Japanese Tanto/Aikuchi with a forged blade, brass grip, and scabbard overlaid with small silver and gold alloy medallions and large plaque overlay of a monk with staff. Similar daggers were used by merchants and women for protection. Rare collectible in excellent condition.
