Brass hilt with D-shaped guard and ribbed handle, the guard is stamped with inspection marks "D" "PDL" and "L", and stamped date on the quillon "1837", single-edged blade, stamped "D" on ricasso, and indistinctive work, A Napoleonic 1st Infantry "Briquet" saber model an XI, markings on the handle and the blade. No scabbard.
