A scarce type warhammer, designed for braking through helmets and lighter armor. Well-forged steelhead of a thorn shape to one side and long strong hook to the other. Wooden haft with the original velvet cover and steel strip over the seam secured with rivets and steel handle. Persia, 19th century.
Dimensions: L: 25 63/64 in., (66 cm.)
Condition: Very good, two rivets missing on the shaft.
