A porcelain figurine depicting a standing Cossak, reign of Alexander I. On a square gilt base, modeled and painted as dismounted Russian Cossack leaning against a tree trunk, the base of the trunk with a receptacle to hold the burning incense, unmarked. Russia, mid-19th century. An identical figure was sold at Christie’s on 12 Apr 2011, lot # 331, price realised $3,500.
Dimensions: H: 7 3/8 in. (18.7 cm.)
Condition: Very good, the hilt has been reaired.
