An openwork brass shield of a circular convex form, with applied bosses and a crescent moon, the openwork decoration comprises deities on dense swaying foliage and floral ground. The rich floral decoration is inspired by Cutch’s goldsmith’s work. This type of shield had a ceremonial use.

Condition: Very good.
