Rare set of four "Char-Aina" armor plates from the Safavid period, Iran, 18th century.Damascus steel inlaid with gold "koftgari", rectangular and convex, the upper part slightly curved, with its loops to attach them. The rim is decorated with a frieze of arabesques punctuated with shamrocks.
Dimensions: H: 12 in., (30.5 cm.)
Condition: Very good, some rust on the verso.
