Dated: Kansei hachi nen hinoe-tatsu nigatsu no hi (A day in the second month of 1796).
Solid silver habaki, 27-/4 in., (9.2 cm.) cutting edge, in shirasaya with solid silver habaki & with full mounts.
Paper/certificate: NBTHK tokubetsu-kitcho (Especially Precious Sword) certificate # 371549 issued by the Nihon Bijutsu TÅken Hozon KyÅkai (Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Art Sword), dated June 10, 1979.
