The round funnel bowl engraved with a crowned coat-of-arms supported by two men with spears, the reverse features an eight pointed star with a round medallion depicting an eagle flying to the sun and engraved with a motto ‘Nec soli cedit.’ Nec soli cedit is a Latin phrase with the literal translation "He does not yield to the sun". It was the motto of Frederick William I of Prussia against the motto of Louis XIV of France Nec pluribus impar ("He is also not inferior to many"). Circa 1735.

Condition: Very good, no chips or cracks.
