Victor Dmitrievich Pivovarov (Russian, Soviet, born 1937), untitled color pencil on paper drawing depicting an abstract conceptualist composition. Signed in Cyrillic on the lower right, dated ‘1980,’ on the lower left. Matted and framed.Note: Victor Pivivarov, artist, graphic artist, classic of Moscow conceptualism. He graduated from the Moscow Art-Industrial School named after Kalinin (1957), Moscow Polygraphic Institute (1962). He illustrated children’s books, collaborated with the magazines Murzilka and Funny Pictures. Notable works: a series of monotypes "The Temptation of St. Anthony" (1967), "Blue glasses of a mad policeman", twelve albums: "Macrogomus", "Tears", "Face", "Garden", "Kabakov and Pivovarov", "Projects for a lonely person" and others. Personal exhibitions of the artist were held in Moscow, Czechoslovakia, and Sweden. His works are kept in museums and private collections in Russia, the Czech Republic, Germany, etc.
