A Russian shashka made by The Zlaooust Arm Manufacturer. The blade is marked with an "A" (surmounted with a crown) and another "A" on the ricasso and cipher of Nicholas II (NII). On the other side, there is an etched Russian imperial double-headed eagle. The rib is etched with ZLATOUST ARM MANUFACTURER. The brass D-guard is marked with the letter "A". The grip is of wood. The scabbard is made of wooden scales covered with black stitched leather, the mounts are of polished brass. One of the fittings is equipped with a loose suspension ring.
Dimensions: L: 38 3/4 in., (98.5 cm.)
Condition: Very good overall, the blade is slightly pitted towards the tip, and the leather scabbard shows minor scratches. The grip has two small chips.
