Oleg Alexandrovich Liagatchev (Russian, born 1939), limited edition drypoint artwork "The Witch, " 1973. With a commemorative inscription on the top margin: "To Alexander Glezer, director of the "Russian Museum" in Montgeron on his birthday from Oleg Lyagachev on March 10, 1978." Numbered, 35/2 and inscribed ‘dry needle’ on the lower left, titled lower center, signed in pencil and dated lower right.Oleg Alexandrovich Lyagachev is an artist, art critic and writer, an art theoretician, and a writer (under the pen name Helgi Lughin). From 1967 to 1979, he was a member of the Petersburg art group along with M. Chemiakin, E. Esaulenko, V. Ivanov, A. Vasilyev, and others. Liagatchev belongs to the generation of the sixties, a very important period in the cultural life of Russia.
