Boris Lovet-Lorski (Lithuanian, American, 1894 – 1973) watercolor and pencil on paper artwork depicting a Woman and Child with a Horse. Signed and dated to the lower edge: ‘Lovet-Lorski 1925.’Provenance: Rago Arts and Auction Center, Living Contemporary 03.01.2023, lot No. 223. Sculptor and graphic artist Boris Lovet-Lorski was born in Lithuania. He studied at the Imperial Academy of Art in St. Petersburg and moved to the United States in 1920, settling in New York City. He became an American citizen in 1925.
