Set of two original photographic prints depicting the crew of the first non-stop flight Moscow – North Pole – Vancouver (Washington, USA) Valery P. Chkalov, Georgy F. Baidukov and Alexander V. Belyakov. One of the pictures has a printed description on the verso "Heroes of Soviet Union comrades V.P. Chkalov, G.F. Baidukov and A.V. Belyakov at the Oakland Airport /USA/ after the non-stop flight Moscow – North Pole – USA, a clipping of the newspaper reprint of the picture and handwritten inscription "printed on 6/20/1937, Izvestiya".
Dimensions: Largest: 6 1/8 x 9 1/4 in., (16 x 23.7 cm.)
Condition: Good overall, there are small rips and tears along the edges. One of the pictures another face is glued onto the original picture.
