Baptism beaker offered by Empress Eugenie and Emperor Napoleon III, round, in vermeil, adorned with cartouches of foliage, one of which is engraved with the cipher of the imperial couple surmounted by a crowned. It is presented in a case covered with black Morocco-style leather, embellished with a gilt embossed monogram "NE" surmounted by the imperial crown. The lining is beige silk. The case originally contained a spoon which is missing.Weight: 4.55 o., 129 g.Hallmarks: Minerva; silversmith CALLOT Eusebe, 11 rue du Perche and 30 rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie.Second Empire period.
