Antique 19th-century short sword from the Shan people of eastern Burma. Features a single-edged steel blade, a handle carved of natural materials and the hammered silver hilt ferrule with braided wire ring adornments. The scabbard is made of wood covered with hammered sheet silver decorated with swirled filigree motifs.
L: 20 7/8 in., (53 cm.)
Condition: Good, the blade is pitted.
