Lot 85:
Fine quality Russian silver gilt cigarette case featuring a gridded background and adorned with a lovely scrollwork with floral motifs made using the cloisonne enamel technique. Set with a blue gemstone cabochon to the clasp.
Hallmarks: 84 Russian Imperial silver standard, later 875 silver mark, maker’s initials in Cyrillic "MG, " possibly for Mikhail Goloshchapov, Moscow, was active in 1883-1912.

4 3/4 x 3 1/4 in., (11 x 8.5 cm.)
Condition: Very good overall condtition, small losses to the enamel with very minor signs of age to the exterior.
