19th Century Imperial Russian silver-gilt and cloisonne enamel tea glass holder by Pavel Ovchinnikov, of a circular form raised on a spreading foot with blue enamel pellet design, the side handle is modeled as a dolphin head bracket profusely decorated with polychrome cloisonne enamel. The body features an overlay representing an Pan-Slavic emblem with a wheel between two stylized birds also adorned with vary-coloured cloisonne enamel. Hallmarks: maker’s name ‘P. Ovchinnikov’ in Cyrillic, an assay mark ‘V.P.’ under the date 1883, 884 silver standard, George the Victorious for Moscow. Pavel Ovchinnikov was as one of Russia’s most exceptional silver and enamel manufacturers and supplier to the Imperial court in the late 19th — early 20th centuries. Weight: 8.2 oz., (232 g.)

Condition: Very good condition overall. Minor scratching to the bottom as expected. One very small dent to the interior. The enamel and engraving are almost impeccable.
