A Nazi Germany WW2 Luftwaffe Ground Assault Badge. Made of fine zinc. Features an oak leaf wreath with at its apex a Luftwaffe eagle, grasping a swastika, flying above a storm cloud, from which a centered positioned lightning bolt strikes through the ground. The reverse holds a vertical slender banjo-style pin back with a barrel hinge and a round wire catch.
2 1/4 x 1 3/4 in., (5.7 x 4.5. cm.)
