AUCTION 43: ANTIQUE ARMS AND ARMOR
Lot 136:
This item is probably a Victorian-era reproduction of a 17th-century-style German powder flask. The piece as a whole is in fine condition. The brass is lightly patinated, the carving on the body of the flask is undamaged, and the mechanism for opening the spout is in working order. Each link of the chain is decorated with very small swirling reliefs. The carving on the body of the flask depicts many nude women in a circle and is nearly identical on each side.
D: 4 in., (10 cm.)
Condition: Very good, with a light patina on the brass.
