An exceptional iron box (strong chest) inlaid with gold koftgari work forming a floral pattern. The chest rests on four legs, the lid is hinged. The interior is lined with original red velvet. The original key is present.
18th century or earlier.
Condition: The box appears in good condition, the silver/gold inlay is almost entirely preserved.
Dimensions: 11 3/8 x 5 1/8 x 7 1/2 in., (28.5 x 13 x 18.5 cm.)
