A Nazi German SA dagger bearing its original inscription ‘In herzlicher kameradschaft Ernst Röhm’ meaning ‘In Warm Camaraderie, Ernst Röhm’. Ernst Röhm was leader of the SA until he was branded a traitor and killed during The Night of the Long Knives, after which the inscriptions bearing his name were ordered to be ground off, making this piece a rare and exciting find. This particular blade was made by Carl Eickhorn of Solingen and bears their maker’s mark.
L: 14 1/2 in., (37 cm.)
Condition: The blade has a chip at the forte. The grip is slightly worn. The scabbard has been repainted.
