AUCTION 43: ANTIQUE ARMS AND ARMOR
Lot 209:
An M1886 cavalry troopers sword with a single-hanger scabbard. The hilt is iron and wood and has a guard with a thick knuckle bow and a "cross-hatched" back strap. The wooden bottom portion of the hilt is also "cross-hatched" for better grip. The original locking mechanism and hilt screws are complete. The machined single-edged blade is slightly curved and has long fullers on both of its sides. The blade is tamped with a S/N "". The blade is in clean condition. Single hanger and drag with a matching serial number.

Condition: Very good for the age. Minor signs of wear.
