Tempera and pastel on paper backed on board painting attributed to Nicholas Roerich or Nikolai Rerikh, 1874-1947, Russian painter and philosopher. The artwork combines two famous paintings by Nicholas Roerich: Citadel in the Himalayas and She Who Leads. Signed with a monogram lower right. Nikolai Konstantinovich Roerich, is a Russian artist, set designer, mystic philosopher, writer, traveler, archaeologist, orientalist, and public figure. Academician of the Imperial Academy of Arts.
