Лот 185:
This sculpted marble head is of a genteel English boy and was created in the latter half of the 18th century. His hairstyle is common for gentlemen’s sons from around 1770 and assists in dating the piece. The head is set atop a square pedestal of green marble which is not affixed in any way, allowing the head to be removed from the small pedestal if so desired.
H: including base: 11 in., (28 cm.)
