AUCTION 45: ANTIQUE ARMS AND ARMOR
Lot 5:
This is an interesting example of a newspaper created by soldiers who were stationed aboard the USS Ethan Allen after the end of WW2. The paper was created via mimeograph and distributed to soldiers throughout the ship during their long voyage home in an effort to entertain themselves. Within are various stories ranging from the serious to the hilarious, and some very heartfelt messages to each other concerning their impending return to civilian life and eventual distance from each other.
Condition: Good overall with expected yellowing due to age. Some minor flakes, tears, and creases
