AUCTION 45: ANTIQUE ARMS AND ARMOR
Lot 150:
The knife is in a typical Ottoman style and has a silver sheath with foliate repoussé decoration, the handle being similarly decorated. There are two attachment points for hanging the blade, one at the pommel and one near the throat of the sheath. The blade bears an inscription in Arabic script at its middle.
L: 10 3/4 in., (27.3 cm.)
Condition: Good overall. Minor staining on blade but mostly clean.
