A hand-forged halberd from 16th century Switzerland with a decorative head. The axe head is crescent shaped and has decorative protrusions. The fluke is downturned and has a vertical spike on top. Both have holes cut out, presumably both for decoration and weight reduction. There is a very long pyramidal top spike. One of the langets is separating from the haft. The haft has been cut short.
