A Turkish flintlock of the late 18th century with a decorate barrel engraved with delicate geometric designs set within a wooden stock with many diamond-shaped silver inserts intertwined with inset silver wire. The lock-plate is damascened with gold militaristic decoration. The pommel, back-strap insert, and trigger-guard are all silver and decorated with embossed floral and militaristic motifs.
Bore: 15 mm.
L: 21 in., (53.3 cm.)
Condition: Barrel loose in stock, though breech tang is still attached. Multiple chipped and missing sections of wood. One section of wood replaces on underside of pistol. Much fading and scuffing to surfaces. Mostly free of oxidation. Missing ramrod.
